Can anyone please explain what does following spec stands for? I know it is Pentium 4 Processor with 1 GB memory, but I would like to know what other number means.

I dont think you can have a CPU running at both 2.8GHZ & 2.79GHZ?
You could have a dual core CPU running at either 2.79 or 2.80GHZ but not at different speeds.

I know that it only has one processor. That is exactly how it is listed when i go to mycomputer/proporties/general tab. I haven't changed anything.
 
Don't worry, that is just how it appears in System Properties - I don't know if it is Windows rounding the number that it detects, but it's perfectly normal :)
 
Yep, it is normal ... it's a numbers game, remember that. ;)


The actual speed is, 2.79GHZ ... but then just like everything else, Intel will call it a 2.8 ... it is a cheat that has been around since day one. They all do it, and not just CPUs. :D
