I just recently installed windows XP and have a question for the group. In
win 98, when I selected to shutdown, the operating system would shutdown and
the pc would shut off.

My pc does not shut off when I select shutdown on XP, I was hoping someone
could point me in the right direction.

The control panel change did the trick.
