Which is more secure, a computer running Windows XP Professional with SP2 and ZoneAlarm Security Suite, or a computer running Windows Vista, and why?

Haven't heard of too many people running Vista with why ,so you should probably stick to what you know
or ask questions in a friendlier tone or wait for the Vista version of Zone Alarm, or keep using your Mac

I'd say Windows Vista. Primarily because even if a rogue application got on
the box and was executed (Vista has no built in anti-virus) it would be
unable to run with administrative rights without prompting the user for
them.

It's got an inbound and outbound Firewall built in and turned on by default,
anti-malware built in and turned on by default, IE7 runs in a protected mode
which prevents malware installing via IE, it's got phishing filters built
in, users don't run as administrators by default.

The only thing I'd install would be an anti-virus program, Avast or AVG I'd
highly recommend (both have free versions).

..Yeah i like that fact too, (about the User Protection Mode) it notifys me of
all stuff opening, but it can get annoying, they need to make a taskbar icon
about it, and when you click on something oh say Device Manager it should
remember who opened it and should allow the prior response. Only notifying
you in the taskbar that it was allowed. Does anyone know what 64-Bit
Anti-Virus software there is? I had CA but it was 32-Bit Downloaded the
64-Bit but it was 32, dont know why, so i said screw CA, and went Trend-Micro
but i only have until Dec 31st. Which Sucks. Is One Care Coming Vista and
64-Bit soon? It better....
