Since my partner accidentally downloaded something from an Adult Site (MBS
Account Manager), unable to close information down, a bill appears every time
internet is activated and freezes PC for 10 minutes. No personal information
has been supplied - no email address. Have also installed Samsung PC Studio &
Nokia PC Suite for mobiles. Windows Media Player 10 now takes a whole day to
rip a CD and nearly as long to burn a copy. I have defragmented, disk cleaned
run system check and nothing seems to help. How can I get rid of the bill as
do not wish to access site, have cancelled it but it keeps coming back. Am
really fed up and want to throw pc out of the window. Please please help.

Tell your partner to practice safe hex. He invited the pests to your
computer.

Likely you're now infested with malware and trojans.

You can try to rid yourself of the pests by installing and running good
anti-malware tools like Super AntiSpyware, Spybot Search and Destroy and
Adaware. Run them is safe mode for best results.
Also, is your anti-virus software up to date and running correctly? What
does it tell you when you do a complete scan?

If use of multiple tools fails to exterminate the pests, you're left with
formatting your hard drive, then reinstalling Windows and your (wanted)
applications.

Denise,

I've run into this type of situation before with others' PCs. In my
experience, it's just better to bite the bullet and format the drive. Even
if you can rid your PC of some of the malware, chances are you're going to
have some lingering trojan on your PC. Since you're running a business and
performing activities on your computer that could present potential privacy
issues for your customers (or yourself) I would take no chances.
