PC reboots with error message with Belkin USB 2.0 re-install

Hi,

I was reinstalling the above USB hardware as an attempt to solve
another problem (external hard drive icon wasnt showing up) - on
installing it this time however my machine reboots and I get an error
message on a blue screen. This USB hardware has been working for 12
months with no problems previously

Anyone any ideas?

What was the stop error message? 12 months is a long time
and any recent updates or upgrades to the computer may be
sufficient to create new issues. Anything changed or new
was added to the computer?
