Pc reboots midway thru power up

For some reason I can not find I ahve 2000 pro based pc
that reboots 2 or 3 times on intial power up each
successive time running checkdisk. I have NAV with latest
table, I have run Ad-Aware 6.0 and Spy-Bot S&D to no
avail. Norton Internet Security runs clean. I recently re-
installed SP4. Still no help. Any ideas ?

When it finally gets going, does chkdsk show the disk has no errors?
If there are no disk errors, then I would suspect a failing power
supply. You might swap one out and see if the problem vanishes.
