PC re-boot when browsing....

I am running Internet Explorer 6.0 (installed by
manufacturer - Alienware)....I installed a Motorola Cable
Modem - surfboard5100).....when I go to cetain sites (ex:
dell.com, americanexpress.com) - the PC re-boots
consistently while browsing these sites....many other
sites work fine....not sure if the cable modem drivers
are incompatible with XP (I have installed the latest
drivers) -- or if some type of explorer security setting
is causing the re-boot....all other PC
components/software are working fine (and the PC is
cooling properly)....any ideas ? Thank you....

The advice refers to IE 'shutting down', but the fixes are the same for a
rebooting pc.
