PC Lockup After Exiting Explorer

My pc will almost always lock-up after exiting Explorer and attempting to
start another program. If I try, for example, to open "my computer", it will
just lock up and I'll have to reboot. If I wait at least 1 minute before
attempting to open another program, it is usually ok. I have Explorer 6.0 and
Windows 98. I also have noticed a program in my start-up config called
wtools. I don't know what this program does, or why it's running, but I can't
delete it, or block it out of my start-up config. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

Hi paulfromny :-)

It's spyware. Try the following and see if it helps:

Wintools Spyware/

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)

After removing WinTools, run CWShredder and Ad-aware. See
