When my PC locks up I have to use the main system power switch to reboot. The
power/reset switch on the PC does nothing.Sometimes I'm getting the audio
message when power switch rebooting, "System Failed.........",can't
understand the rest of the message.Starting to get that message more
frequently.
I did have a problem switching user accounts which lead me to run chkdsk
utility and found and repaired a corrupted file.
I always keep my Antivirus and spyware up to date including online scans.Any
help will be appreciated.

Hardware failure? Using SP2 Pro

If your computer is speaking out loud audio status messages before
Windows is being started, then yes, this is a hardware faillure.
Try making the rest of the message more audible for yourself, consult
your motherboard manual (either on the driver CD or on the manufacturer's
website) for these messages and their meaning.

Any error messages recorded in the Event Viewer (Click Start, point to
Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer)?
