PC Jukebox Remote control

I have an old PC I downloaded all my CD's and yes, even my LP's and Cassettes
to. It's connected to my whole house system for music throughout the house. I
am looking for a way to be in my kitchen, or living room, or garage and
change songs. I am not going to invest in a Escient Fireball. But I am
looking for a software package or remote control that will allow this.

Any ideas?

Have you thought about visiting Radio Shack, Best Buy or Circuit City for
assistance in this matter, it is free?
