ok as soon i start outlook the pc shout down the screen and nothing
works, i only see i green light that indicate the power is on but the
pc is dead nothing works. any idea, i try it to scan for virus but i
do not find anything with norton and i update virus database too. the
only way to make work the pc again i need to turn off and restart it.

any idea what could be the problem. help...please. :((

Yikes...strange couldn't be Messenger perhaps as this runs in the
background, try typing msconfig in the run bar and press ok, you'll
get a screen on the very right hand tab that says 'Start Up' click to
open and scan down the list, these are the start up prigrammes that
run at boot up, untick the box thats says MSMSGS and click OK.

The computer will reboot and you will get a window, simply click the
box that say's do not show this again or it will appear everytime you
boot up then see what happens, you can always go back and tick the
MSMSGS box if it doesn't work.

Also you can check the error logs in Control Panel/performance &
Maintenace/click to open Admin tools/and click event viewer Icon to
open.

You will get three logs, the ones are Systems and Applications open
these and see if there are any errors. These are logs and can safely
be deleted if you wish to do so when it will ask you if you want to
save these in a folder so that you can print them out.!

If this is the correct advice for your problem I can't say, the reason
I suggested trying MSMSGS is because it runs in the background.

To find out if there are any on-screen error codes right click my
computer, click properties then click advance tab, then click the
bottom box that says 'Setting' in Start up and Recovery, untick the
box that say's Automatically Restart. Reboot and see what happens the
next time you opeOutlook. Don't forget to re-apply the tick in the box
afterwards.

We are hunting for clues and any error codes and are not fixes. If you
are using Sp2 I would have a look at MS WEB site and see if there are
any known problems, this is probably the first thing you should do if
SP2 is installed.
