Does anyone have a SCSI card working on a PC-DL Deluxe, and if so, what
brand/model? My Adaptec 19160 that worked on my previous system doesn't

Have you tried looking on the Adaptec support page ? There is mention
of something called EBDA (extended BIOS data area), which I think is
the RAM area used by controllers during POST.
Click "find answers" here, then enter "motherboard compatibility" as
two search terms. You can find a lot of answer styles, like "upgrade
your BIOS" or instructions on playing with BIOS settings that don't
exist in Asus BIOS.

There is mention of a similar problem to yours here. What I don't
know about the Adaptec card, is where settings for the card are
being stored. If they are stored on the Adaptec card itself, you
could play with the SCSI BIOS on another computer, and set it up.
But, chances are, the Adaptec card uses some part of the CMOS, or
some part of the NVRAM area of the BIOS flash chip, in which case
the only way to configure the card, is while it is plugged into
the target system. (Press <ctrl A> or <alt A> to enter Adaptec BIOS ?)

Perhaps flashing the 19160 to a different Adaptec BIOS would make
a difference ? I know from some past experiences with a 2940, that
messing with the BIOS on one of these cards, you have to research the
side effects of each release, as sometimes stuff gets busted by
an upgrade. (Just like a motherboard
