I have a problem with my home network.
I have a Win2k SP4 PC networked to a WinXP SP2 PC through a Netgear
MR814v2 router. It's a wired connection.
The problem is that sometimes the icon for the XP computer disappears
from Network Neighborhood. The icon for the Win2k PC is always there.
I can't see the XP icon in NN on either computer. If there is a
shortcut to a shared folder on the XP computer I can still connect to
it even though the icon for the entire PC is missing.
When I reboot the XP computer the problem goes away and the icon re
appears, only to go away again after a few hours.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? Thank you very
much.
