I have an pc case I'm trying to get to work. so far the power supply works
and the hard drive seems to be working by the feel of it but when I try to
connect the case to a monitor(working monitor) the monitor wont turn on the
green light turns orange. What could be the problem. the monitor I'm using is
good I use it with my other pc, and it works perfect.

This doesn't have anything to do with the PC case. The video card is
faulty.

Or the power supply. I had the same problem and after replacing the
power supply, all is well.

Hello again,
where is the video card located, I have another pc case maybe I can use the
video card from it.

The video card is

wow.... now that's a really scientific statement. Do you fix all your
computers
by randomly blubbering out reasons of malfunction?

The video card is either built into the motherboard or is a separate
card in a slot on the motherboard. I'd say from your posts that you
might want to have a professional take a look. If you want to try it
yourself, open the computer - unplugged - and if the video card is
separate, take it out and put in a different, known-working one. If the
video card is built into the motherboard, put a known-working one into
the appropriate slot (probably AGP, but since we know nothing about
your computer, it could be PCI or PCI-e).

After you put in the test video card, can you see anything on the
monitor? If you can, then you know the original video card is no good
and you should replace it.

Alias also suggested that the power supply might be bad, and that is
true too. Although you said you thought your psu was working, you can
be sure by swapping it out with a known-working one.

Take off the side of your case. Look at the back of your case. Where do
you plug in the monitor? Does it lead to a separate card, affixed to a
slot or directly to your motherboard?

Directly to the motherboard.

I don't know if I'm replying the right way but I don't see reply to sender I
see reply to post.

So your mobo has build in Video..........now its time to figure out if its
the monitor or the build in video.
Take your monitor to another working computer and plug it in...if it works
its the build in video if it does not work it is the monitor.
Monitors cost more to fix than to buy a new one.
If its the build in video......new mobo or a video card from a major
manufacturer that will fit into a slot on your mobo ...PCI?? AGP?? PCI-E??
A decent good video card will cost you about the same as a newer
mobo....your choice.

still not sure what it looks like. the monitor connects to the mobo, but
other hard ware are connects to this part( violet color) can this be the
video card? I try to get help from manufactor but no luck.

ok..now looking for the build in video.....can I disconnect it from the mobo.
I ask because on my working puter the video card is separate from the mobo
and I know it can be replace but where is this buld in video card on the (non
working puter)do I have to replace the mobo, or can I replace this build in
video card.--

It most be the video card. there is a slot to put an video card can I just
buy a video card and forgett to replace the buil-in one, if i decided to buy
just the card.

Seeing as you are workin with 3 computers.......borrow a video card from one
of the other computers to test.
The build in video is a chip on the mobo that is not consumer replaceable.
But if you have a mobo that has a crippled video chip it makes me wonder
what elese is broken on that board.
I would not be spending money on a new video card until I was sure that was
the only thing broken on that mobo.
