Hello All,

I was reading through revviews of beige pc cases on newegg and nothing
really stood out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a beige case? I know sonata is the
best but unfortunately, they are black only.

Thanks.

Geoff,

You're not going to find many high end cases in beige. At the low end,
Raidmax makes
a decent case. Otherwise, I've had good luck w/ the Enlight 72xx series
cases. Well made,
everything goes together like it should.

the Antec 1650 series comes in beige, it's pretty close to the Sonata in
many ways, and cheap! Look locally if you can to avoid the shipping fee,
Best Buy and Circuit City both sell some Antec units. If not, NE is still
a good buy:

Note the included 350 watt ps is a good one, but it won't power SLI or a
large number of hard drives; but a typical home user system will be just
fine. It's a fairly large case too, easy to work inside. Note it's ATX
only, no mini, no BTX.

Hello,

How important is it to be btx compatible?

Not important at all. BTX was a controversial idea at best, but it never
caught on.

Even if BTX does become more popular someday, cases are cheap (and getting
cheaper all the time) -Dave

Not at all :-)

According to The Inquirer, BTX is going away next year.
BTX is used by companies like Dell and HP for prebuilt
computers, but home users don't use that format too much
for builds. ATX is mainstream and you have more choices
with ATX.

BTX is like a bad "mirror image" of a computer case.
You can see a picture here. It is like removing the
wrong side panel from your case :-) And the motherboard
is sorta "upside-down".
