PC boots when phone rings

My pc starts on it's own when the telephone rings. (the Pc
is connected via modem to the phone line)
Any help / advise to resolve this annoying occurance is
appreciated.

This is system-specific, but some computers have BIOS's that are
capablity of starting when they detect that a call comes in. Check your
BIOS. Do this by pressing the special key on startup goes into BIOS.
Look at your manual, or look at the screen during boot-up prior to
seeing the Windows logo. Normally F8, or ESC, or something. Then in the
menus for BIOS, look for this option.
