I am now using XP after using ME (upgraded). My computer
seems to be a lot slower with XP on it, and I have seen
some articles about PC BOOSTER software which claims to
increase the speed of your computer and stop crashing and
so forth. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if these
products are safe to use or will I be inviting trouble
fiddling with the computer. Also if I was to run it would
I be able to un-run it and get back to being slow again if
I don't like what it has done to my computer? Can anyone
give me a suggestion?

Hey Louise,

You shouldn;t need 3rd party tools.

How much memory does your system have and what kind of processor ?
If you're not sure, go into

control panel/system

If its not selected by default, click the general tab, post what it says
under Computer.

If you know your detailed specs then post them.

Lets make sure your system is powerful enough, and if so, start looking for
the cause of your problem.

One first question, did you run the upgrade advisort to determine if your
hardware and existing software was compatible?
