Does anybody out there know what the input and output impedances are for the on-board audio of a Dell 3500,5500 or 7500 ? Approximate values are OK. If not I guess I will just have to do the measurements.
I've seen this question on this site with answers that clearly indicated that the authors didn't understand the topic. I appreciate the effort but I need the correct info.

That information I don't think you will find here as you yourself have already suggested

As you are so unsure maybe it best you seek the specs on Dells own website yourself?

After all we would hate to misinform you :D

A shot in the dark however from previous Dell's I have owned

Microphone 150 kΩ

Line-In 150 kΩ

Line-Out 190 Ω

Headphone .5 Ω

Of course they could change from model to model

Mistah Flops would like to take this oppurtunity to announce the rather hastily convened formation of the 'Damn good answer post of the month award' as a response to TXD's rather super reply above.

Your prize, you scouse scally you, is a packet of rancid stoat flavoured dry roast peanuts labelled with the Aldi brand name, collectable from a location close to the River Thames at a time of your choosing.

Rather super eh? :)

Nice one Squire :thumb:

You not got any Squirrel flavoured ones?

lol

I don't suspect we will get a reply either tbh

Maybe a complaint about who's stomping on the bridge as we walk over oblivious to the rants?
