Every so often i get an alarm sounding from inside the PC
which i can only get rid of by shutting the machine down.
Does it have some sort of temperature sensor as recently
i have set it up in the corner of the room with a wall
on one side and the desk on the other with not much air
circulating.
Is there a setting in XP i can check or does anyone have
any ideas please.
Thanks

Shut down your PC, open it up and make sure all the fans are working -
case fan(s), power supply fan(s), CPU fan, northbridge fan, video card
fan, and any others. Also, it might be a good time to get some dust
remover spray at Radio Shack or BestBuy and give your computer a
good dusting out.
