Hi all,
i have a problem with an hard drive (SEAGATE 20 Gb).I want to use it in an
old pc (133 Mhz,128 Mo of ram, motherboard : acer v30).But the bios detect
only an hard drive of 8.3Go.
So the solution is to flash the BIOS?
But i don't find a BIOS to remplace my actual BIOS (here is the number :
ACR9AE00-I05-950621-R01-N0)
I have search on the acer website but nothing there
Can you help me?

thanks of all

P.S : i am sorry for my english i am french!

If you find no simple solution, you could partition the drive into 2 or 3
partitions. That will let you use most\all of the space.
best wishes..OJ

Sorry about my french but did you google "acer bios" ?
http://www.google.com/search?q=acer...ient=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

I found lots of references and these may be promising

http://www.bioscentral.com/postcodes/acerbios.htm
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html
http://www.wimsbios.com/HTML1/acer.html

They list by model number and the first one has other bios links.

Otherwise go to Seagate site and download Seagate utility for installing
a new drive. It will install an overlay drive bios that gets around the
8.4g drive limit.
