Is there a way to pause a sound file, then have it continue from the pause
location? I have looked everywhere for an answer, but can't find one. Any
ideas? For PP 2003. Thanx!

Insert the sound choosing play automatically

Select the sspeaker icon and in custom animation add a sound action "pause"
Double click this entry in the custom animation pane and in timing tab
triggers > start on click of ...
choose either the sound itself or a button to trigger the pause. (Note the
pause action can be misleading because it acts as play if the sound is paused
and stop if its playing)

Try it and see if it works!

John, you are right: pause action acts as stop when sound is playing. Is
there a way to make it acts just like pause? In other words: if I have a
slideshow that is playing a sound, is there a way to make it pause and, then,
resume it from the exact point that is was paused? I'm thinking of a wave
sound file embbeded on a slide, and not just linked.

Thanks very much!
