I would like to know if I can (using xp home) make all documents once sent to
the printer paused. So that I can manually resume each one when I've loaded
in the correct paper etc.? ( I print a lot of stuff which needs to be printed
onto different card stock, colours etc.)

Will this also print documents that have been sent by other users on the
network?

thankyou for your time in advance

Printer, Properties, Advanced

Enable Hold mismatched documents.

You may need to set up some custom forms but if the tray assignment is
configured for Letter in tray 1 and you send a Cardstock job will sit in the
queue with the invalid configuration until you load Cardstock in the tray.
