i am making a movie and i need to pause the credits at a certain spot, is
there any way to do that?

I have never tried this but you could pause in playback mode in the spot you
want and split the clip. Take a snapshot of that exact spot and insert it
between the split clips and drag it to the desired length you want to pause.
This "should" give you the effect your looking for.

when i try to split the credits that i put in, wherever you click split its
always grayed out.

I agree that splitting a credit is not
an option but what if you create two
or more credits and place a screen
shot of the section you want paused
between the credits?

Just save the screen shot/s on your
desktop and re-import into Movie Maker...
then drag them to the timeline in the
appropriate position.

That'll work.
See I was on the right track. :-)
What I had in my mind and didn't explain very well was to render the movie
and THEN split the credits as I had suggested. That would do as I was
thinking but John's may also do what you want.

Hey Wojo...

Most things are easier to
do than they are to explain :o)

We need a translation button
that converts what we *did*
say to what we *meant* to say.
