Hello:

I want to add a pause at the end of my slide (and sometimes during th
middle of a slide). Is there a way that I can do this? Going unde
slide transition -->advance slide, and increasing the seconds isn'
giving me the desired effect b/c I don't want the entire slide to b
longer than I have it set up for, just certain parts.

Thank You!

During your presentation, Pressing 'B' or '.' will pause/start the show with a
black screen. Pressing 'W' or ',' will pause/start the show with a white screen,
and pressing 'S' or '+' will pause/start the show with whatever is on that
particular slide.

Wow... that's really interesting and will come in SO handy!!!, but wha
I want to do is just increase the time at the end of the slide until
the next slide w/out doing it through slide transition.

Thanks :o)

I think I know what your saying now. makes it kinda hard when I have to keep
jumping from on message to another, to see what is in the whole thread.

If you mean have the pause on the fly, then the keystrokes I provided AFAIK are
the only way. If you mean for example slide 4 you would like to have stay on the
screen for 10 seconds before it goes to the next slide. You then need to add (I
use a rectangle shape) object, drag it off the screen, and have it appear 10
seconds after the last event for that slide.

I don't know any way to extend the time for the transition to the next
slide while a slideshow is in progress. You can go totally manual in
which case PP will move to the next slide only on your mouse-click.
Or, you could go auto+manual, in which case PP will move to the next
slide either on the mouse click on after the transition time expires,
whichever comes first.

Hello Kim,

PowerPoint does not currently offer the option to specify a "delay" in the
transition relative to the end of the last animation effect in animation
sequence for a given slide.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that there should be
additional options for controlling the timing of slide transitions (without
having to resort to workarounds, VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your
feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
