Not Really Simon.

If there is a program running that's fine, but I can't see how to get back
to the desktop to use an icon from it. Running programs have the powerpoint
as their background (if not maximised of course).

I suppose what I need is a way to minimise the show (Window + M doesn't work)

Hi,

Alt plus tab pulls up the desktop when running Vista. Try Window key plus M.
That gets you to the desktop. Then Alt plus tab will scroll and reactivate
the windows as long as you go to PowerPoint Slideshow. Of course, this all
depends on your Windows version.

And if all else fail:
From your keyboard, hold down the Windows key and press D. This is
equivalent to the Show Desktop icon on taskbar, which will minimize all the
windows and bring you back to the desktop.

Hi Steve

Thanks for that, forgot about the Quick Launch icon for the desktop in the
Task bar (I had that switched off). Great.
