Hello all

I am trying to create slide show based on Power Point, where I can pause and
start the transition at will. The purpose is for the kids at calss to try
and identify the who is in the picture beofre the complete picture is
revealed. Right now I cannot seem to pause the transition while it is
running.

TIA

There are two ways that I can think of for you to do this...

Option 1 --
Make several partial transition slides.
-slide 1 - original
-slide 2- 10% transitioned
-slide 3- 20% transitioned
....
-slide 11 - 100% transitioned
Making the slides could be accomplished by taking a series of screen
captures off a slowed down transition. For instance: If you are doing a
smooth fade from slide 1 to slide 2, set the speed to 20 seconds. Start you
screen capture program (I like Howie's Funware free screen capture tool, but
whatever works for you.) Then start the slide show. Activate the
transition and press the 'capture button' every 2 seconds. Then insert
slides with 1 slide for each screen capture. Rest the timings and see if
this works for you.

Option 2 --
Make a movie of the transition and use the play/pause controls. Record an
AVI movie file of the transition effect (camtasia, media recorder, etc.) ,
then insert the movie. Clicking on the movie while it is running will pause
it, clicking again will un-pause it.

Let us know if this helps,

I chose choice one using your recoomendation of the screen capture.
Fantastic!!! Thanks man
