Path links on action settings

Can I suppress the path from displaying on a hyperlink - for example I
have set up some action settings to different Powerpoint files - It
looks really ugly when you hover your mouse over one of them and get
the path as c:\presentation\my.ppt\etc etc

Hope thjis makes sense - my brains are frazzled!!

any help appreciated

It depends on PPT version and how you create the links, but if you're adding
hyperlinks, click the Screen Tip button in the hyperlink dialog box; PowerPoint
should use the text you type here instead of the path to the linked file.

Steve - i am using 2003 (XP) and the links are Action as opposed to
straightforward Hyperlinks ... I know with hyperlinks I can use the
tooltip - any option for Action settings when used as links?:

If they're links to a file, you should be able to create them in Action settings if
you like but they're still editable as hyperlinks, unless this is some special
case. Give it a shot ...
