patching

Hi my Friend has windows xp pro and everytime he intals
it, it gets infacted before he has a chance to patch it
cause of his slow connection then everytime he tries to
download programs to remove the virus etc it restarts his
pc before it downloads.
so i was wondering can i download all the patches and
stuff for him and burn it onto cd so as soon as we intall
xp on his pc we patch it from the cd before even going
online with it.
And if so please give link to what i need to download

1. I suggest downloading all the latest driver
2. WinXP SP1a Full http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/sp1lang.as

SP1a, take the network download

Rollup, most all critical updates
