I am trying to update our windows 2000 pro p.cs to the
latest service pack. We have no software to do this, so
was going to do it via the login scripts.

I have download the microsoft baseline security analyzer
and found that most computers need about 7-10 patches to
install.

Can anybody give me some ideas on how to go about this.

Thanks

James

Have you looked at using SUS from Microsoft? It's free, simple to use, and
seems to work well. I don't use SUS because I use Microsoft SMS (which is
not free), but when I tested SUS in a lab the only real negative I saw was
no reporting. You could do your reporting with MSA or the login scripts.
