Patches download but don't install

The Windows 2000 scan said that I need 31 patch updates
totaling 30meg. The download appears to complete but the
switch to the install phase doesn't occur. The system
seems to to into a wait state.

Can anyone help?

Get the ms03-039 first and after successfull install you'll need a reboot.
Then try to get the other updates.
