Patch to use Mozilla engine instead of IE engine

MyIE2 already supports (experimentally) Gecko engine through MozillaControl.
Is this option better in some way?
 
This sounds interesting. Using this allows programs like MyIE2 to use
the Mozilla Gecko engine intead of M$ IE with all its securitiy holes.

I just can't get it to work. I followed all the instructions. I installed
Mozilla, registered mozctlx.dll. The patcher refuses to patch anything -
not MyIE2, not Sleipnir, not anything.

Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
