Hi,
I have the following PC:
2ghz P4, 512MB RDRAM, Intel D850GB motherboard, GF440mx
32 AGP video card, 160GB HDD (3mo. old), cdrw and dvd-
rom, soundblaster Live!value, WinXP Home, Windows Media
Player V9.00.00.3008

The problem:
When I run winupdate and instal patch Q828026, I am
prompted to reboot. Upon reboot I make it to the desktop
for just about 8 seconds and then crash to a blue screen
with a "Beginning physical memory dump, contact system
admin or tech support for more info. An error has
occurred and operations have been halted to prevent
damaqe to your computer" the error codes following have
not yet turned up on google. They are:
(0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x8060AB13, 0xF802F9A0,
0x00000000).

I run system restore to before the install of this patch
and no problems in booting. I have never seen this
screen before, my first though was RAM, but this patch is
only supposed to be a Win Media Player patch, and the PC
works fine without the patch installed. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi, Rob again. I meant to say "my first thought was RAM"
also note I have run memtestx86 and had no problems
detected. Added my email address. Thanks again, Rob
