What the hell is it with this new worm pretending to be a Microsoft patch?
I've been getting flooded with these the last couple of weeks, and now I see
them on the newsgroup too. Is Microsoft doing anything about these morons?

Hi Mike,

The problem is consaiderably better than it has been. They are now a
nuisance whereas before, they were bringing the service to its knees and
tearing holes in its guts - to put it mildly.

At least we only get the 14K versions now instead of the 145K nasties.

Patience is still required. ;-)

Regards,
Fergus

The problem is that they _cannot_ do anything against it.

I kinda figured that... mostly just letting off a little steam because I'm
so sick of these morons even just sending e-mails, and now they're invading
the newsgroups too.

I finally got heavy with it and added a filter on my email server to bounce
anything with the words "Undelivered" or "Cumulative Patch".

It seemed to kill all of it. I'm sure I'm missing stuff, but the bounced
recipients are instructed what to do.
