PATA?

this is just ATA yeah? so normal ATA drives will work with it?


or am i wrong, is PATA different?

i know about SATA but not heard much of PATA is it just another way of
describing normal ATA/IDE?

and you will find out what PATA and SATA mean.

SCSI-1 was just SCSI until SCSI-2 came out. So ATA had to be called
something different to differentiate it from its serial version.

so with 1 PATA controller on a board i could use it for two CD-ROM drives
and then use the SATA on the board as the hard drives
