Tried coping a photo to paint and tried selecting part of that photo so I
could later paste it to a part on my desktop.

Want just a part of that photo, all it did was create a shortcut of the
entire photo.

How can I just get the part I selected.
Appreciate any help. Thank You.

John Inzer,
Thanks for reply.

Site did help resolve how to select a particular part of a photo. When I
export the part I need to the desktop it appears as a shortcut rather then
the image I of the selected item. Maybe it can't be done.

=================================
You cannot place (drag/drop) an image
in a random position on your desktop.
You could use it as an icon for an program
or a back ground image (wallpaper).

If you wish to use any image as a desktop
background...open the image in Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer / right click the
image...from the menu...choose..."Set As
Desktop Background".

Also you could read the instructions on the
site I previously posted under: "Saving Your
Picture As Wallpaper".

Also you can right click your desktop and
from the menu...choose....Properties / Desktop
tab...browse to any image you like and choose
it for your background (wallpaper).
