Pasting in a screen shot

I'm just capturing the creen with either PrtSc or alt+PrtSc or Ctrl+PrtSc,
then either using ctrl+v or the clipboard paste functions. Nothing happens.
When I repeat the same actions in Word it's OK.

Be sure PowerPoint is open before you do the screen capture. I believe that
PowerPoint clears the copied information when it is opened.

I've just had to switch the pc off and restart. Guess what? I can now paste
a screen shot. What is that all about?

Thanks to all who replied.

Glad you solved it. <g>
Sometimes, things just work the way you want once you do a reboot. Amazing,
isn't it?

Mac-Rays from Planet OSX can sometimes penetrate the case of your PC and play
hob with the innards.
