Paste Special

I am attempting to make a presentation that has Excel charts pasted on to the
slides. The charts were put there using the Paste Special feature. I am
supposed to animate the slides, but whenever I try to animate the charts (I'm
basically just trying to have them fade in), the numbers show up fuzzy and
bolder when they show up. I'm pretty sure this is happening because the Paste
Special feature was used. Is there anyway for this not to happen?
 
This is happening because of the animation. I don't know exactly why it
happens, but I can confirm it does.

You could make a copy of the chart (or slide) so you have access to the
original, and then ungroup and animate the pieces of the chart. Otherwise, I
don't know of a way to smooth out the chart animation, sorry.
