I'm using Excel 2003 on Win 2000 and Win XP. I've found that Paste Special
doesn't work in certain situations. For example: Say I have two workbooks,
Book1 and Book2. Cell A1 in Book1 has in it "=Sheet!A2". If I go to Book2
and copy any cell with a value, such as 1, and go back to Book1 and Paste
Special Add to cell A1, the result is "=([Book2]Sheet!A2)+1". It is supposed
to be "=(Sheet!A2)+1".
If the Paste Special Add is repeated, Excel crashes. If the link is to the
workbook from which the cell is being copied, Excel crashes.
Paste Special with Operations works fine on values, formulas, and
references. Anything with a "!", it has the problems.
Is the problem with my installation? Is this a bug? Or a feature?
Thanks,
Eric
