PASTE SPECIAL: editable charts

Looking for the right option of paste special in order to edit charts.

I pasted my chart as an Object, but then in PPT, I right-click on the chart
and should see Chart Object (edit, open, convert), but it doesn't appear.
What should I do? Thanks
(PS. don't want to paste it as a linked file)
 
I think that's because PowerPoint has a special relation with charts -- and
it understands that they are chart objects. Did you paste special the chart
from Excel?
 
Which version of PPT and Excel are you using? (Assuming you're pasting
special an Excel chart, that is....)
