Paste Link Excel Table

I was wondering is there anyway to paste-link a table done in Excel so that
after you save the PowerPoint file the grid lines don't appear? A simple
Paste doesn't show the gridlines but a paste-link does after the file is
saved. I realize you can simply take off the gridlines in Excel under Tools
- Options but I was wondering if you there was a way to keep the gridlines in
Excel but not have them show in PowerPoint when doing a paste - link.

Thanks

I have this exact same problem. When I tried to change the color of the
gridlines using the picture toolbar(recolor picture) it changes the font
color and the gridlines (because they are both black). If I change the
gridlines in Excel to a different color, then use the picture toolbar in PPT
to recolor gridlines to the same color as background, PPT leaves a small
black dot in each corner of my cell. Yikes! Why is this happening and is
there any other way to erase the gridlines?

To not have any Excel gridlines in PPT, in Excel choose Tools +
Options and uncheck the gridlines checkbox on the View tab.
