I am trying to paste append several rows from a table on CD into my database.
These databases are identical as the CD is a backup copy of my daily work.
The first thing I did was select and Edit Copy the rows from the CD I
wanted. Then I closed the CD and opened my current database. When I went to
paste append those rows at the bottom of my current database, I received the
following messages.
The first error message says [the Value you entered isn't appropriate for
the Input Mask 99/99/00;0;# specified for this field.] I click OK.
The next message says [The value you entered isn't valid for this field.
For example, you may have entered text in anumeric field or a number that is
larger than the field siza setting permits.] I click OK
The next message says [the field is too small to accept the amount of data
you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.] I click OK about
25 times ( the number of rows to be pasted). Then it says it will put the
unpasted rows in a paste errors table.
Keep in mind these tables are identical, no changes have been made as the CD
is a backup copy. The reason I needed to use it was because I accidentally
ruined the table and had to delete the table then copy and paste a backup
table. Now only new records need to be added to the table.
