Can I set up a password on a particular folder on my work computer? I already have a password to access the computer but am concerned as at least one other person needs access to my files and has my password. Therefore I have one particular folder that is personal and I want to protect that one... can anyone help?

Sharon,

Maybe the best thing to do is change your XP login password for this machine.

Then, give others who need access to this machine their own ID/password. Keep
your files in areas where your ID only has access. When they login with their
ID, they can't get your files. Read about this in "Help" in the articles
about "System Administration".

Thanks Rob - I had sort of thought along those lines but thought it would be easier (as it is only one folder) to just password protect that folder if possible. But if there is no way of doing that then I may have to take up your suggestion
Thanks again.

U can Format the partition to NTFS to secure possible.if u format the folder to NTFS,it is easy to assign permissions
