Passwords

I can not remember rather or not I set an administrator's password. I do
not use the log-on screen. How can I find out if I have a password?

If you logoff then that should give you the welcome screen. There you can
try to login with or without a password. If you are referring to the built
in administrator password then at the welcome screen press cntrl/alt/del for
a few seconds, this will bring up the old style login dialog box. Type in
the user name as administrator and try out with or without password.

A pretty simple way is to go to Control Panel, User Accounts.

On that screen, you'll see the list of user accounts, and if there's a
password, you'll see the words "password protected".
