Where does Win XP store passwords?
I suspect that my password to a certain site is corrupt ( it works with my
other computer).
How can I delete it?
Thanks
Mike

Mike

Start up in safe mode and log on as the Administrator.

Your answer is probably an adequate clue for advanced user.
I do not log on- just start and go.
More detailed instruction will be appreciated.
Thanks

To start the computer in safe mode

You should print these instructions before continuing. They will
not be available after you shut your computer down in step 2.

Click Start, click Shut Down, and then, in the drop-down list,
click Shut down.

In the Shut Down Windows dialog box, click Restart, and then
click OK.

When you see the message Please select the operating
system to start, press F8.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the Safe Mode option, and
then press ENTER.

Click on Administrator If prompted for Password enter
Password or Hit Enter (where no Password has been created).

Select Start, Control Panel., User Accounts, User Name
(Person needing new Password), Change Password, type
new Password and enter second time to confirm, click
Change Password

Important
If you change another user's password, the user will lose
all personal certificates and stored passwords for Web sites
or network resources.

A user with a computer administrator account can create
and change passwords, and create password hints for all
users. Users with limited accounts can create and change
their own passwords, as well as create their own password
hints.
