When I did not change my password in the alloted time
I cannot log on ie start windows.

Could be some other glitch--any thoughts?

Joe

By "at the alotted time", do you mean when you first log on?

There are domain configuration options to require users to change their
passwords sometimes (like the first time you ever use an account, or if the
account's password is reset, or if it expires) at logon. If that's what's
going on, then it's deliberate-- Windows doesn't want you logging on until
you've selected a password for yourself.

Can you be more specific about this?
Thanks!

Use the admin account and reset your password.
admin is usually by default left blank, so just use
administrator and hit enter for the password.

you must have configured your system to force users to
change their passwords after a certain period of time.
if you wish to change this, open windows explorer and use
the help feature to search out password expiration times
