Network of Win 2K server and Win 98. Cannot see shared folders/devices From 98 to 2K Password problem. Step by step how to setup new client PLEASE.

Afraid we need a bit more information here to be helpful.
When you say pw problems, are the user/s not able to get logged onto the
domain, or do they get logged on but then get access denied trying to access
a share?
Get logged on ok, but are unable to see a share in net neigh? Can they net
view to a server ok? Can they see any servers or just not certain ones?
Does this affect all users, some, or only one or two users? If not all, can
the affected users connect to shares from a different machine?
Are they getting ip addresses like they should.
Do they have the ds client installed on them.
Are any of the machines they try to connect too multihomed, and are all of
the servers/clients on the same subnet or different ones.
What error or message do they get when trying to connect, or exactly what
happens when they try?

Not a password problem, it's an account problem. Note that the Guest account
is disabled on W2K. Meaning anonymous logons aren't supported. Create an
account on Server to connect as that user from Win9x.

Should you need more info, specify whether domain or workgroup. Which is
relevent in that your client's network services may need to be configured
appropriately.

tHE WIN 98 box (only one) can see the win 2K server in net neghiborhood but when the shared folder is accessed a message "Password must be supplied"appears. Thanks
