Hi,

is there a way to set passwords on individual folders so that even users
who are logged on already have to put a password in to see/mod the
contents? I know I can alter the permissions for the user account, but is
there a way to do this so that everyone has to enter a password every time
they enter the folder, without having to log off/on again??? In a similar
way to when you connect to the domain controller without having logged into
the domain, and you can connect if you enter a username and password...

TIA,

Andy

Windows uses "user" permissions to determine access. The "password" is
part and parcel of the user ID. If you wish to explicitly "password
protect" a folder, then you must resort to some 3rd party software to do
this.
