You can set a password on a Personal Folders File. If the folder list isn't
visible in Outlook, click View | Folder List. Right-click the root folder
(usually "Personal Folders" or "Outlook Today"), click Properties on the
popup menu, click the Advanced button on the General tab, then click Change
Password. Be VERY careful not to forget the password, as it is neither easy
nor cheap to get back into your file without it.

On the contrary, it's very easy with the proper download.

Of course, this works only on pre-OL 20003 PST files.

Brian.Tillman is the name, smiths-aerospace.com is the domain.

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

More precisely, it only works with .PST files that do not have large table
support enabled -- they would have had to have been created in Outlook 2000
or earlier and never upgraded for large tables.
