I need to know to set a password to protect my computer. I am a home user and
I want to "lock" my computer so others cannot use it. I am not part of a
network.

Start > Run > "control userpasswords2" without the quotes > users MUST enter
a user name and password option > set it to your liking with a difficult
password.
