This has me perplexed.

I am running Windows 2000 on my desktop and laptop and my brother is running
Windows 2000 on his laptop. Recently I have made changes on his laptop as he
had a "corrupt profile". He now logs in, same as myself on my PC's

But my brother is now saying that Windows 2000 is warning him that he needs
to change his password. It is giving a countdown of days to make the change.
Why should this be? My brother had adminstrator rights same as myself and I
have never been promted to change my password on my PC's. How do I switch
this off?

Thanks

Stephen Howe

Hi Stephen,
Do the following:
- Go into the Management Console (right-click My Computer and select
"Manage").
- Expand "Users and Groups," then highlight "Users."
- Right-click on your brother's profile, and choose "Properties."
- Check "Password Never Expires."
